Where Eastern Tradition Meets Western Purity
Taizi is a fusion of ancient Chinese distillation techniques and pristine New Zealand resources, creating a unique baijiu experience.
The Calligraphy of Taizi
The artistry behind Taizi’s name began long before ink touched paper.
When the Lu brothers sought to bring their vision to life, they approached Jing-Yao Zhang, the former Honourary President of the Taiwanese Calligraphy Association. Known for his mastery of traditional Chinese script and his devotion to precision, Mr. Zhang agreed to compose the characters “Taizi” (太紫) only after a careful study of the number of strokes. His analysis revealed an auspicious balance that symbolized harmony, prosperity, and noble destiny. With brush and ink, he captured the spirit of the Crown Prince, elegant, poised, and eternal.
The complementary inscription, “New Zealand Sorghum Spirits” (新西蘭高粱酒), was written by a church elder and master calligrapher, a man whose faith and artistic discipline infused the work with calm strength and spiritual grace. His hand joined heaven and earth through each stroke, blessing the creation of a spirit that unites heritage and purity.
Together, their art transformed Taizi from a name into a living emblem, a fusion of artistry, faith, and good fortune that continues to define the essence of the brand.
